Vectis Colts are entered in the 2016/17 Hampshire Colts League. Games will take place on Sundays, with home games shared around the senior clubs based on the easiest travel for the opposition team. Training is every Wednesday evening, led by Harrison Booth (Lead Coach), Nathan Tombleson (Coach & Team Manager) and several guest coaches throughout the year.
Colts rugby is simply about enjoying playing the final years as an age group and developing the skills required to play rugby at senior level. Throughout the year we will be providing opportunities not only to develop rugby skills but for players to enhance their leadership, coaching and refereeing skills through official RFU courses and events.
Colts rugby is also about preparing for life as a senior rugby player, so players are actively encouraged to train with and play senior rugby when appropriate at the senior club (or clubs) of their choice. Senior club coaches will often deliver guest sessions, in addition to senior integration sessions held between Vectis Colts and the four Senior clubs throughout the year.
We have a clear philosophy which is to make every session as enjoyable as possible whilst providing an environment to develop you as a rugby player and more importantly as a person.
We are always welcoming new players and volunteers, so if you are in Year 12 or 13 at 6th Form or college feel free to attend a training session or get in touch with us for more information.
