Vectis Colts up and running

Last year was a disappointing season for all concerned with Colts rugby on the Island but we are hoping to put that all behind us and start afresh this season. Last years U16 coaches, manager and helpers have all agreed to get the Colts going again and as such, have entered the Hampshire Colts Div 2. This will give us six home and six away fixtures and we have a further four home friendlies and three away friendlies, so quite a full season. We are also considering a tour in April.
None of this will work unless we get commitment from all of the potential players on the Island, so talk to your friends and get them to come along. Training sessions will be held at Sandown RFC on Sundays from 5th Sept starting at 2pm prompt and Thursdays starting this week Aug 26th 6.30pm. All home League fixtures will be here and we are asking other Island clubs if they will host any of our friendly matches.
Please remember to be on time for training sessions and bring plenty of fluid’s. plus we will be asking for your full contact details i.e.mobile and home tel no’s, email and facebook details etc. Lines of communication are very important, if you are NOT available for a fixture you must contact me, if you do not you WILL be charged for the fixture.
Last years paid up Colts will not be asked to pay for this coming season as you did not get your money’s worth last season!
We know that some off you are leaving the Island or that you have school, college and senior teams all after you to play for them, it is your choice where and when you play, all I would say is that Colts rugby is a very important part of your rugby development and as soon as you have your fixture list from school/ college you let us have a copy so that we can plan our squad around availability.
