New season sees Unbeaten U11s bring back plate from New Milton Festival
The U11s made a slow start in the unusually hot October weather. Letting Winchester be a worthy opposition with a 0-0 score at the end of a lacklustre game.
Things did get better against Bournemouth, a new team for our lads to tryout against. But again the Vectis engine hadn’t found the right gear and chugged along to a 1-1 draw.
The hosts stepped up next and having seen New Milton beat Winchester 2-0 it was with great relief that we started to up the pace and give them a run for their money although, with the opposition leading in the second half we only managed a 2-2 draw.

Jack Daley on the move against New Milton.
Without a proper win (there was a by in our pool which meant everyone won one game by default) the team entered the semi for the plate against the Pirates (a mixed team from Trojans, New Milton and Totts) who now felt the Vectis team getting there act together dispatching the Pirate easily 4-0.

Sol Wood showing solid ability as scrum half
The final game saw us finish as we started – against Winchester. With one major difference, Vectis winning 2-0.

Luke Margham pops the last points of the day across the line against Winchester
Great play on the pitch was delivered by some of the old talent as well as some of the new boys.

New boys on the squad Theo and Ollie both put their first scores in for Vectis while Luke, Jack, Max Hill and Rob Newton put in some consistent good play with tries from all.
Nice to see Max Johnson get much more involve today and Sol is proving to be a great little scrum half.
With the game rules now allowing for kicking there were two excellent kicks one from Louis and one from Jack – we wont talk about the others kicks!
