Welcome to U7 tag rugby

U7s is the entry age group for children to play rugby. Your child should be 6 at the start of the school year. However, depending on their aptitude, children who are 5 and can come and train but will not be able to play matches against other teams.

Tag rugby is a none contact version of the game were a tackle is simulated by the removal of one of two tags worn around the waist.

Boys and girls are welcome to play this simplified version of rugby which provides a safe, stimulating and fun introduction to the game.

Training is provided through volunteers who coach the children through enjoyable and fun games which help to introduce the core rules of the tag game in a way that engages these two age groups.

Training sessions start on Sunday mornings at 10.30am and finish at 12pm (‘ish).
