Under 7s now off to a late 'flying start'!

2 years ago By Colin Hiom

Thanks to some great support work from the new under 7s dads.

“The moment you doubt whether you can fly, you cease for ever to be able to do it.” J.M. Barrie, Peter Pan

After a late start to the season the under 7s are now flying. Great turnout today and a record number of kids playing and joining. Fifteen excited guys, some great skills on show in the drills and one epic final game, our first full pitch game. Many thanks to all the parents for their support and to Michelle Williams for helping organise them. A special thanks to all the coaches who have helped so far: Sam Branston, Ben Kulik, Colin Hiom, David Hutchinson, Lee Priddle, Jez Robinson and Miles Watts. Terrific job guys.

Parents: It's your last opportunity to register this week and to confirm plus pay (before next Sunday October 30th) for our first away game/training session on Sunday 6th November at Gosport/Fareham - which was great fun and very well managed last year.

The details of the fixture can be found in the fixtures area of this site but to save you having click that heavy mouse or poke the screen twice more the link is here:

Where the key details include meeting inside at the wet end of the Ryde FastCat foot passenger ferry terminal at 8:30 (latest) to catch the 8:47 ferry. Tickets will be bought in advance for you at the special price of £10 per parent and £5 per child BUT ONLY if you have already confirmed and paid for the ticket before next Sunday 30th. Please call our excellent team manager Michelle Williams urgently if you haven't already registered and paid for the trip but would still like to come along. Michelle's details are on the new website (here).

Thanks again all involved - and looking forward to seeing you next week. Don't forget to spread the word if you have any Year Two school buddies who would also like to try out the game.
