... lots of applause to the incredible Isaac H! Isaac has always been one of the under 9s strike runners with great speed, a very good eye for an outside break and is always a good listener and hard-worker but this week Isaac's growing power in running is coming through so any defenders that even got close to him were struggled to get a tackle in.
Very well done Isaac - and great to the development coming through.
The under 9s had a very good week this week with lots of great tries in the end game but good progress was also made in the speed-passing drills, the record being 3.5 seconds for five passes and a score in the corner of a 10m grid! That's a record that will take some beating. The double-up tackling drills also worked great with the whole team getting the defensive line into the face of the attacking players. Well done all.
Next week we're back at the Wootton Rec again (weather permitting) for hometraining and the countdown to the next friendly match, Sunday 4th March at home. We're also on home kitchen duty this week so let's put on a great show in the kitchen and go for a record number of players at training - which for the season is 22 players.
